My manager’s boss has requested a meeting to discuss my manager before he does his year-end review, to get feedback on his performance. He asked that I be totally candid and honest.
Both of them are fairly new to the organisation (as am I) and both are widely disliked, viewed as not very competent, and do not get along with each other. I get along with both of them OK in a superficial way, though I don’t rate or trust them, and plan to outlast them both.
I generally pride myself on honesty, but fear it is not the best course of action in this situation. If I don’t tell the truth, can I avoid flat-out lies?
