It could be a scene from a spiritual retreat. But Mr Sommer, a German with years of experience in the European automotive industry, is at work.
As chief operating officer of Chanje, a Los Angeles-based electric van manufacturer, Mr Sommer, like all the company’s employees, is expected to spend 20 per cent of his time on personal development, including regular meditation.
