Samsung Electronics is seeking a ban on US imports and sales of some of Ericsson’s products, the latest legal action over patents in the competitive mobile phone market.
The complaint, filed by the South Korean group at the US International Trade Commission, accuses Ericsson of breaching seven of its patents on network equipment and counters the Swedish company’s earlier legal action against Sam-sung’s products.
Ericsson sued Samsung in November for alleged infringement of patents that are essential for many of the South Korean company’s mobile and consumer electronics products. Samsung’s complaint was filed on Friday but announced yesterday.
