Additional funding from George Soros, the Hungarian-American billionaire philanthropist, will support "further crucial development for the next five years" for young business school faculty in central and eastern Europe and the former USSR, says Milenko Gudic, managing director of the Central and East European Management Development Association (Ceeman).
The $920,000 of funding, supplied by the Soros-funded Open Society Institute, ensures the continuation of Ceeman's International Management Teachers' Academy (Imta) from 2010 to 2014.
The institute, an important channel for Mr Soros's philanthropic works, has sponsored the Imta programme from its inception, providing approximately $1m in support over the past 10 years.
