China’s exports grew at the fastest pace in two years in February despite the long lunar new year holiday, pulling the country’s trade surplus back up from a recent dip.
Outbound shipments rose 44.5 per cent year on year last month in dollar terms, according to China’s General Administration of Customs, up from a rise of just 11.1 per cent in January and far exceeding a median estimate of 13.6 per cent from economists polled by Reuters.
The jump in growth marked the quickest clip since February 2016.
