CC Land, a Chinese developer, is setting up an office in Mayfair as it hunts for more London assets after its purchase this year of the Leadenhall Building, known as the “Cheesegrater”.
The Hong Kong-listed group said it and several local rivals planned to expand their London property holdings, continuing a surge of capital from China.
Dickie Wong, deputy chairman, said CC Land planned to base five or six employees in London, and was in talks to develop a large-scale housing-led project in the capital with a UK property company.
