Police arrested an ultra-Orthodox Jew accused of stabbing and wounding six people on Thursday in a gay pride march in Jerusalem — two of them seriously.
Officers identified the assailant as Yishai Schlissel, recently released from prison after serving 10 years for stabbing participants in a similar gay parade in Jerusalem.
Mr Schlissel is said to have pulled a knife from his jacket and run after the young marchers as they walked through streets decorated with rainbow flags, leaving bleeding victims on the ground before he was pinned down by police.
