Australia's Prime Minister Tony Abbott has said the hunt for debris from the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 is entering a new phase, with commercial contractors being hired to continue the search at a cost of around A$60m.
"This is an extraordinary mystery. We will do everything we reasonably can to solve it," Abbott told a press conference, while admitting efforts so far had failed to find any wreckage.
He said the search would be moving to a new phase in coming weeks, but was "not ending".
