China’s 18th Communist party congress has ended and a once-a-decade leadership change has taken place. But what does this mean for business education in the country and its inability to produce managers and leaders that are able to propel Chinese business on to the international stage?
One of the most worrying economic indicators this year is the rapid decline in profitability among China’s largest companies, especially the state-owned enterprises. The response to this should be a business education system that rejects the traditional methods in favour of a western-style approach.
This will eventually lead to more modern and internationally competitive Chinese companies. In other words, what is needed is a business education revolution.
