Emerging market countries are leading the way in wealth creation as more people establish their own business, amass assets and join the ranks of millionaires.
“Asia and Latin America – led by India, China and Brazil – are the wealth drivers of the future,” says Nick Tucker, UK and Ireland market leader at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, which brought out the latest world wealth report last week with Cap Gemini.
China and India have already made it. “New entrepreneurial wealth is the key driver in China and India with lots of people reaching the $1m (£668,227, €811,816) level,” he adds.
