Honda resumed auto production at its factories in China’s southern Guangdong province on Friday after striking labourers at a component supplier returned to work.
But production at the Japanese carmaker remains under the threat of further disruption as a strike by workers at a lock supplier in Zhongshan, also in Guangdong, entered a third day over demands for higher pay and the right to form a union.
Honda said it was not clear when the latest industrial action would be resolved, adding that employees and Honda Lock were in discussions.
