Asset management staff received bigger pay rises than investment bankers in 2019 as buoyant stock markets boosted returns for fund houses around the world.
The median pay, including bonus, for asset management staff stood at $167,000 in 2019, up 16.4 per cent from 2018, according to figures from Emolument, the salary benchmarking company.
Despite investment banking staff receiving a smaller annual pay rise of 12.4 per cent, they earned more at a median of $218,000.
