Korean leaders start three-day Pyongyang summit

South Korean President Moon Jae-in was greeted by scenes of jubilation on Tuesday as he landed in Pyongyang for a high-stakes summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Mr Moon was met upon arrival by Mr Kim, with the two men embracing like friends rather than the heads of two nations that have been locked in hostilities for more than 70 years.

Seoul is hoping the three-day summit in Pyongyang will lay the foundation for a second summit between the North Korean dictator and US President Donald Trump.
