US-China trade war — and haunting lessons from the past

A huge week is looming in global trade, with the possible launch of the next round of US tariffs on Chinese products — some $200bn, no less — and the denouement of Nafta talks between Ottawa and Washington. Here I share a small selection of our readers' responses.
