Donald Trump fired a broadside against Google on Tuesday morning, accusing the search engine of suppressing positive news involving him on its influential news aggregation service.
The US president took up longstanding complaints by conservatives and the alt-right of political bias by Silicon Valley technology groups, claiming that 96 per cent of all news searches for him produced results from “National Left-Wing Media”.
“Google & others are suppressing voices of Conservatives and hiding information and news that is good. They are controlling what we can & cannot see. This is a very serious situation — will be addressed!” he wrote on Twitter.
