“I respect and enjoy your paper enormously, and have done for many years, and I accept that there is a need to air differing ideas on public platforms, but this is beyond the pale. He is a wilfully destructive ethno-nationalist who has most recently thrown his support behind a sexual predator (Roy Moore in Alabama) and encouraged Front National supporters to proudly wear the labels of racism and nativism.”
Our frustrated reader concluded: “A serious newspaper should be playing no part in boosting his profile and I have no wish to even partially fund this catastrophic error of judgment.”
