China’s first space laboratory mostly burnt up above the southern Pacific Ocean as it fell back to earth on Monday.
The Tiangong-1 re-entered the earth’s atmosphere at 8.15 Beijing time, and was monitored by China’s space agency, state news agency Xinhua said.
The US’s Joint Force Space Component Command confirmed the time and location of the re-entry.
