The Chinese Commissioners in the City

The Lord Mayor gave a luncheon yesterday at the Mansion-house to meet Prince Tsai-Tse and Li Sheng-to and Shang Chi-hung, the Imperial Commissions from China, who are now in a visit to this country.

The guests, about 100 in number, included the Chinese Minister, Lord Napier of Magdals, Lord Fitzmaurice, Field-Marshall Sir George White, Sir George Goldie, Sir West Ridgeway, Mr. Ellison-Macartney, Deputy Master of the Mint, Mr. Evans Spicer, Chairman of the London County Council, Mr. J. F. Blackwell, President of the London Chamber of Commerce, Mr. F. Bolton, Chairman of Lloyd’s, Major Bridges Webb, Chairman of the Baltic, Sir George Faudel-Phillips, Sir James Richie, Sir William Treloar, Admirals the Hon. Sir Edmund Fremantle, Sir Cyprian Bridge, Sir Digby Morant, and Sir T. Sturges Jackson, General Sir George Higginson, General Sir Bevan Edwards, Sir Patrick Manson, Sir A. S. Scott-Gatty (Garter King of Arms), Mr. Felix Schuster, Sir Walter Hillier, Mr. Alderman and Sheriff Smallman, Mr. Sheriff Bowater,Major-General Mackinnon, Captain Nott Bower, Mr Moberly Bell, Sir Rober Douglas, Professor Giles, Professor Bullock, Mr. Byron Brenan, C.M.G., and Mr. Joseph Walton, M.P.

The Chinese Commissioners were attended by Tso Ping-lung, Chen Shu-moh, Captain Chen Ngen-tao, Mr. Tsao, Mr Ivan Chen, On Tsung-lien, Yen Chu, and Mr. Po-jin.
