Sexual harassment is rife in French business

Five years after the scandal that engulfed Dominique Strauss-Kahn, French politics is yet again awash with allegations of sexual harassment. On Monday last week Denis Baupin, deputy speaker of the National Assembly, resigned over such claims. The following day, Michel Sapin, the finance minister, apologised for inappropriate behaviour towards a female journalist.

This time feminists and female politicians have spoken out in greater numbers against what they call pervasive sexism in French public life.

Well, guess what: it is not just French politicians who should be singled out for their sexism. The problem is rife in other fields.
