The Chinese are writing the biggest cheques.
Buyers from China accounted for the largest chunk of the $92.2bn of US homes sold to foreign buyers in the 12 months to March, according to a survey from the National Association of Realtors (NAR).
China generated $22bn worth of sales, according to the NAR, up from $12.8bn the year before (see the third chart).
