Moody’s has analysed the linkages between the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) – of which Malaysia is a member – with China.
It concludes that the region is “vulnerable to a pronounced growth correction” in China, which is now Asean’s largest trading partner.
Here is the killer statistic: Asean exported 12.2 per cent of its total outbound shipments to China in 2013, up from 7.3 per cent a decade earlier.
