Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management has launched the first US listed exchange traded fund that provides direct access to the China A shares market.
The ETF will compete against US-listed rivals offered by Market Vectors and a recently launched product by PowerShares. Both of these products, however, use derivatives to track China A shares.
The db X-trackers Harvest CSI 300 China A-shares fund, which will be known by its ticker ASHR, carries an annual management fee of 80 basis points.
