Temasek, the Singapore sovereign wealth fund, has appointed former World Bank chief Robert Zoellick to its board as it ratchets up investment in North America and prepares to open its first US office.
The addition of the former US trade representative in the administration of George W Bush is the highest-profile appointment of a non-Singaporean to the 10-member Temasek board.
It comes as Temasek increases its investments outside Asia, which accounts for more than 70 per cent of its portfolio.
