Tears before bedtime as parents cope with shrinking stocks of formula

Parents across the world are feeling the effects of China’s surge in demand for milk formula as stores impose limits on the number of tins that customers can buy, writes Amie Tsang.

In Hong Kong and Macau the governments have even set up hotlines to ensure supplies to local residents.

While it is understandable that Chinese parents do not want to risk the health of their children, this has not stopped the build-up of resentment towards the Chinese who are buying up supplies.
