North Korea test-launched four short-range missiles at the weekend, according to South Korea, drawing criticism from Seoul amid a continuing stand-off over a suspended economic co-operation project.
Seoul’s defence ministry said yesterday that it had detected the launch of a short-range missile from North Korea’s east coast, following three similar launches the day before.
South Korea had not changed its “military preparation posture” in response, it said, adding it could not confirm whether the rockets were short-range ballistic missiles or surface-to-ship missiles.
