China will allow companies to issue junk bonds under a pilot scheme from next month, as part of a push to broaden the range of financing routes for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The bonds will be issued through private placements to “qualified investors”, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange said on its website.
Property and finance companies will be excluded from the scheme.
