The global market rally has added S$42bn ($29.7bn) to the market value of Temasek's investment portfolio since the end of March, Singapore's state investment company said yesterday.
The mark-to-market value of the portfolio fell to S$130bn at the end of the financial year in March but recovered to S$172bn by the end of July – just 7 per cent below its year-end peak of S$185bn in March 2008.
Temasek said the recovery reflected its efforts to “continue to reshape our portfolio mix actively”.
