
The Scottish National party is set to dissect its disastrous election result at its annual conference this weekend as it seeks to rebuild support and avoid receiving another kicking in elections for the Holyrood parliament due in 2026.
John Swinney, Scotland’s first minister and SNP leader, will lead a closed-door “election review” on Friday morning, where party members are expected to share the outcome of debriefs held over the summer.
