
Yesterday Arm Holdings, the UK-based semiconductor company owned by SoftBank, kicked off its superjumbo IPO by filing its F-1 with the SEC. It’s a watershed moment, as IPO volumes have dried up over the past two years.
There will be a lot to say about the deal once the key terms — such as offering size, price range and participation (if any) of cornerstone investors — are announced. Arm has a reputation as a fabulous fabless firm, but at this point, you can’t handicap the float’s success.
