US President Donald Trump is holding open the possibility of further meetings with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un following their failure to agree a denuclearisation deal at their Hanoi summit in February.
During an appearance with South Korean president Moon Jae-in in the Oval Office on Thursday, Mr Trump said that while he and his team did not achieve what they wanted to in Hanoi, “certain things were agreed to” and his relationship with Mr Kim remained “very good”.
Following the summit, which was cut short, the US said it could not accept a North Korean demand that the US lift all sanctions immediately in return for Pyongyang dismantling just some of its nuclear facilities.
