North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrived in Vietnam on Tuesday morning after a 4,500km rail journey from Pyongyang through China, ahead of a summit with US President Donald Trump later in the week.

Vietnam closed the highway leading some 170km from the border to the capital ahead of his arrival.
