China has a vested interest in keeping the peace between Trump and Kim

The belligerent exchange between Washington and Pyongyang has reached an unprecedented high. After the US Defense Intelligence Agency reported that North Korea had likely managed to put nuclear warheads on its intercontinental ballistic missiles, President Donald Trump

said that America would unleash “fire and fury” if North Korea continued its threats.

Hours later, the Korean People’s Army stated that it was considering shooting four missiles close to the US territory of Guam in the Pacific, flying over Japan; if the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, approved the plan, the military would execute it.
