Obama meets Dalai Lama despite warning from Beijing

President Barack Obama met the Dalai Lama at the White House on Wednesday despite a warning from Beijing not to host the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader.

The meeting comes amid considerable tension between the US and China over the South China Sea and a number of economic issues.
