Rupert Murdoch, the chairman and controlling shareholder of 21st Century Fox and News Corp, is to marry actress Jerry Hall.
The pair announced their engagement in a short notice in Monday’s Times newspaper, which is owned by News Corp.
It is unclear what implications a marriage — which would be Mr Murdoch’s fourth — will have on the ownership of the companies his family controls. News Corp’s assets span newspaper, print and digital publishing while Fox operates television and film businesses.
