One of the scientists behind Viagra is chasing a fresh breakthrough in sexual health as his company closes in on a deal for a European launch of its newly approved treatment for premature ejaculation.
Mike Wyllie, who was involved in developing Pfizer’s best-selling erectile dysfunction pill in the 1990s, said UK-listed Plethora Solutions was in talks with several big pharmaceutical groups over its spray-on medication.
The product won approval from the European regulators last year after trials showed it was safe and effective in treating a condition estimated to affect one in four men.
