Amid the grim tidings of imminent nuclear war on North Korea's state media website sits an upbeat item claiming that the country’s progress towards nuclear weapons is helping to attract western tourists.
“The number of foreign tourists . . . is expected to increase this year,” said a recent article from the Korea Central News Agency, citing growing interest in the country after it “successfully carried out its peaceful satellite launch and underground nuclear test in recent months”.
“Mini-golf playing in the Rungna People's Pleasure Park in Pyongyang will be one of the attractions this year,” it added.
