Software tycoon on run after Belize murder

For years, John McAfee dedicated his life to designing software for hunting computer viruses, founding the company that bears his name and that today resides on millions of PCs throughout the world.

But this week, the 67-year-old mathematician and former Nasa employee found himself at the centre of a different sort of hunt as authorities in Belize, the tiny Caribbean country where he lives, tried to track him down for questioning over the murder last week of a neighbour.

Mr McAfee is reportedly on the run, fearful for his life and without a doubt in his mind Belize authorities are determined to kill him.
