Huawei and ZTE, the two Chinese telecommunications equipment vendors who have previously been embroiled in intellectual property litigation taken by European and American competitors, are escalating a patent and trademark dispute with one another to an unprecedented level.
ZTE on Thursday said a temporary injunction issued by a German court would not stop its expansion in Europe, and took the unusual step of discussing in public the details of its dispute with Huawei.
The Hamburg regional court issued a temporary injunction on May 2 saying ZTE was forbidden to offer, market or possess USB modems with a certain trademark and with a certain design.
