Renminbi reforms help China open up

No one needs reminding that China is the coming economic superpower. Every company from a two-man operation to a global corporate behemoth has a strategy for profiting from Chinese growth.

The problem is that execution is so hard. There are restrictions on setting up businesses, limits to transactions, quotas for investments and a currency that is worthless outside of China.

But there are stronger signs than ever that the long-awaited liberalisation of Chinese markets is finally taking place, and this could present potentially huge opportunities for fund managers.
