Investor appetite for risky assets finally cooled a little yesterday as equity, credit and commodity markets consolidated after their strong performances over the past few weeks.
In a further reversal of last week's moves, government bonds, the dollar and the yen all rose.
However, most strategists took the view that yesterday's price action would prove little more than a blip – even though many felt recent optimism about the global economic outlook might have been overdone.
